If you have anything to share with others, commit it, that person is trustworthy. The secret will remain no secret when you tell the second person that is not you. You can't force a person to keep the secret, and you will never know who is the next person hearing your story. The mystery will become a story that is spreading faster and faster.
So don't tell the secret to the wind, the wind will blow it through the forest.
When you reveal a problem/story to another, you want to have a person to share and sympathize. If the problem involves some people, and they hear the rumor about them, what will they think? Not good. No one wants to be a character in another's stories. Try to fix it now and keep the secret far from the talkative person who quickly reveals your tale to others. And if you want to share your feelings and want to receive sympathy from others, make sure that person is trustworthy.
